Englewood has two public high schools: Englewood High School and Colorado's Finest Alternative High School; three middle schools: Flood, Sinclair, and the Englewood Leadership Academy; and five elementary schools: Bishop, Cherrelyn, Clayton, Hay, and Maddox. Economy & Job Market

Local shopping areas provide the community with standard goods and services, while a wide selection of upscale shops and restaurants can be found at the nearby upscale Cherry Creek and Park Meadows malls.

City Center Englewood is the first project in Colorado to replace a suburban shopping mall with a living, breathing, mixed-use downtown. It provides a model for intelligent regional design that directs development into established cities served by transit. This 55-acre public/private project focuses development on a central public place and connects the site with walkable streets, civic and cultural uses, light rail transit station, retail and office space, residential housing, a public library, outdoor performance space, art museums and outdoor sculptures.

Attractions & Points of Interest

Englewood's Parks and Recreation Department offers some of the finest recreational opportunities in the region. The roughly 80,000 residents take pride in their city’s extensive system of parks and open space. Some city parks, such as Centennial and Belleview, have nature trails while others have lakes for fishing, playgrounds, ball fields and picnic areas. For indoor activities, the Englewood Recreation Center is a great place to meet friends as the Center offers a track, pool, gym, weight room, and racquetball and volleyball courts. Golfers can hone their skills at the Englewood Golf Course, which includes both a par-three and a regulation 18-hole course. Several nearby public and private courses are all within minutes.

The Cherry Creek State Park is home to the Cherry Creek Reservoir where you can find camping, boating, bike and nature trails, a sand beach complete with changing facilities and concession stands. Residents also enjoy a new, mixed-use area downtown called City Center Englewood, one of the first projects of its kind in the country.
